The Return of Yeshua and the Preparation for His Coming
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 (NKJV)
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means. For that Day will not come, unless
(as described previously) ……. 8 And then (after the Holy Spirit has been taken away) the lawless one (the son of perdition: the antichrist) will be revealed. The Lord will consume him with the breath of His mouth and destroy him with the brightness of His coming;
Yeshua first came for His people, the Jews (John 1:11; Deuteronomy 7:6), but many did not receive Him. Because of their rejection, the Gospel was afterward proclaimed to the Gentiles.
Romans 11:25 (NKJV)
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
Israelites/Jews are still the people of God. Because they rejected the Messiah, salvation was temporarily given to the Gentiles until their time has been fulfilled. After the rapture, according to Scripture, the time of the Jews begins again.
The Israelites will become jealous of the Christians (Romans 10:19). This jealousy will arise because Christians will no longer be visibly present on the earth. Many Jews will come to recognize that Yeshua is the promised Messiah. (Rom 11)
The signs of the times and the great tribulation, as described in the first part of Matthew 24 (Matthew 24:1-31), are primarily intended for Israel and the Jews.
The second part of Matthew 24 (Matthew 24:36 and onward) is instead seen as instruction directed toward Christians. This article is intended to prepare Christians and converted Jews for the events that will soon take place.
Believers will be taken away before the great tribulation.
The second coming of Yeshua (with His feet upon the earth) will take place after the great tribulation. Lord Yeshua returns for the Jews and not for the Christians who come to faith after the rapture. The Jews will see His power in Jerusalem.
The message is:
Be prepared for the things that are coming. Recognize the signs of the times. Follow the Gospel carefully. Do not be deceived by religious and church systems. The believer is free from condemnation because Yeshua fulfilled the Law and bore the judgment Himself. Freedom does not mean that everything is now permitted without restraint. True freedom is found in living by faith, walking in the Spirit, and remaining faithful to God. The believer is not saved by works, but a life transformed by faith will bear the fruit of obedience, love, and perseverance. Therefore, remain watchful, hold firmly to the truth, keep the Word, and endure to the end. The days are evil, deception is increasing, and many are being led astray. Fix your eyes on Yeshua the Messiah, trust in His finished work, and continue in the faith.
He comes quickly and suddenly.
LIVE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW, BUT ACCORDING TO THE LAW.
(the commandments are not abolished; they remain necessary in order to define transgression. Therefore believers are called not to be transgressors of the law.)
KEEP ALL THE COMMANDMENTS CAREFULLY
(Matthew 5:19; 1 John 2:2-4; 1 John 3:22-24; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 14:12 and Revelation 22:14), Keep the Law not out of obligation or fear for punishment, but from the heart, soul, and mind (Mark 12:29). The believer no longer avoids certain things merely because the law forbids them, but instead desires from the heart to do what is good, loving, and perfect according to the will of God the Father.
If one lives in this way and continues believing in Lord Yeshua, one will not experience the Great Tribulation. By that time, the believers will have been “taken away” and brought into safety before the outpouring of God’s judgment upon the earth. Just as Noah was preserved before the flood and Lot was removed from Sodom before its destruction, so believers are expected to be spared from the hour of trial that will come upon the whole world. Therefore, remain steadfast in the faith, keep the Word, persevere in obedience, and place your trust completely in the finished work of Lord Yeshua. He is faithful to save those who belong to Him, and He will fulfill all that He has promised.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 (NKJV)
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore be watchful and do not be deceived.
Remember the parable of the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
Once the door is shut, entry will no longer be possible.

said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the
day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Revelation 22:20 (NKJV)
20 He who testifies to these things says,
“Surely I am coming quickly (suddenly).”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Yeshua!
